If you could choose any person from history to be your friend, who would it be and why?

I’d choose Harriet Tubman. She was born into a system designed to convince her she was property, and she rejected it anyway. At a time when the law, religion and violence said she had no rights, she had the moral clarity to decide she had one: freedom. I’m deeply inspired by this way of thinking that refuses to accept unfavourable circumstances as destiny – no matter the context. A consistent commitment to “defying the odds.”
