If you could choose any person from history to be your friend, who would it be and why?
Miriam Makeba. She was intelligent, stylish, politically aware, and deeply principled. She moved through the world with quiet dignity, absolute backbone, and always stood in her truth, no matter what – an unmovable force. I think we would get along great.
