What led me to this career: Curiosity! In my matric year, I stumbled upon the Bill of Rights section in my Life Orientation textbook and was very intrigued by the system of rules and rights that impacted my daily life, without my real awareness of it. I needed to know everything about it.

In my downtime I like to

Try new recipes from different cuisines. I only acquired the skill of cooking after I started my legal studies, which is perhaps a good thing (or I may have been inspired to go to culinary school).

My favourite sport is

Women’s gymnastics (especially during the Olympics).

Recommended read

Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.

Favourite game

Cluedo.

Coffee or Ice cream?

Coffee (the love of my life).

Name one thing on your bucket list?

To visit as many UNESCO World Heritage Sites as possible

If you could choose any person from history to be your friend, who would it be and why?

Frida Kahlo. I am drawn to people who are unapologetically themselves, and she was certainly that. I find it inspiring how she used her art to express her values and identity, shaping culture in a way that still resonates today.
