What led me to this career? I was first inspired by the charismatic chants of my grandpa telling me about his cases as an attorney; like a child at a campfire inspired to change the world with her spark. He was a commercial lawyer, and I have been led toward the same but very different field since I have a passion for the environment. I continued to pave this legal pathway for myself, inadvertently, by fostering my love for interacting with people and lending a helping hand. As I grew, I became more interested in psychology and sociology. I am an artist, by nature, which means, to me, that law is art, that art is life and therefore law is a way of life: a tool to make a difference as an ambitious, outspoken woman.

In my downtime I like to

Watch a good movie, read, listen to heavy metal/rap, dance, do crosswords, do yoga/ go for a jog and spend time with friends – especially my best friend Ozzy, my bearded dragon, who should be breathing fire soon.

My favourite sport is

In my dreams, Quidditch, but as soon I snap back to reality, I enjoy most sports but my favourite would be action netball, sprinting and dancing. Kindly refrain from asking me to swim unless there are lane ropes.

Favourite game

Mind games. Scrabble, Backgammon, Chess and I play pretend that my life is a movie, so every curveball is a plot twist which adds cinematic value and leverage for humour and dark comedy to contribute its flair too.

If you could choose any person from history to be your friend, who would it be and why?

Maya Angelou, so I could learn from her and write poetry with her. I wanted to choose Mac Miller because many of his lyrics inspired me but that would perhaps warrant unwarranted judgement so – Maya Angelou it is.
